Alex Rios, DO

Alex Rios, DO, is a diagnostic radiologist specializing in musculoskeletal imaging at Charleston Radiologists, PA. He will join the practice in 2026 following completion of his musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Rios completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he served as chief resident from 2024 to 2025. He also completed a transitional year internship at MUSC.

Dr. Rios earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master’s in Medical Education from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Western New England University in Springfield, MA.

He is an active member of the American College of Radiology, where he has served as a class representative. Dr. Rios has presented research nationally, including at the Society of Interventional Radiology Annual Meeting and the Society for Thoracic Radiology. His scholarly contributions include case presentations and publications in musculoskeletal, cardiac, and neuroimaging.

A Charleston resident, Dr. Rios is committed to advancing patient care through diagnostic excellence and subspecialty expertise in musculoskeletal radiology.
