Blake Johns, MD
Dr. Blake Johns is a breast radiologist at Charleston Radiologists, PA, which he joined in 2026.
A Mississippi native, Dr. Johns earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Mississippi in Oxford and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine in Jackson. He completed a transitional year in general surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, followed by his diagnostic radiology residency at Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Alabama. He then completed a breast imaging fellowship, serving as an instructor fellow, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Johns has extensive training across the full range of breast imaging, including mammography, ultrasonography, diagnostic breast MRI, contrast mammography, and image-guided biopsies and localizations. He is especially passionate about building continuity of care with his patients and helping them understand their imaging, and he enjoys mentoring medical students and residents as they train in women's health. During his residency, Dr. Johns was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of his teaching and the empathy he brought to patient care.
