Marcin Czarniecki, MD

Marcin Czarniecki, MD, is a radiologist at Charleston Radiologists, PA. His clinical interests include neuroradiology, body imaging, and general radiology.

Dr. Czarniecki completed fellowships in pediatric radiology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC; neuroradiology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital; and abdominal imaging at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He also completed a research fellowship in the Molecular Imaging Program at the National Cancer Institute, where his work focused on prostate cancer imaging. Earlier in his career, he served as a clinical fellow at Addenbrooke’s Hospital at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Mazowiecki Szpital Bródnowski in Warsaw, Poland.

Dr. Czarniecki earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of Warsaw School of Medicine in English. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds the European Diploma in Radiology. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Czarniecki serves as an assistant professor with Advanced Radiology, affiliated with the University of Maryland Medical Center, and provides remote on-call radiology coverage for hospitals in Ireland. He has authored or co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, with particular research interests in prostate MRI, genitourinary imaging, and prostate cancer imaging. His work has appeared in publications including Radiology, the American Journal of Roentgenology, the British Journal of Urology International, and the Journal of Medical Imaging.

Dr. Czarniecki is a member of the Society of Abdominal Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, European Society of Radiology, Polish Medical Society, and Polish Radiological Society. He is fluent in English and Polish.
